Yes, I understand all the arguments against signing someone like him. But I think he is a very good centre half, and the clubs that are linked with him are the likes of Newcastle, Tottenham and West Ham. Clubs that are challenging for Europe. He’s not the donkey that some people make out, imo. He’d vastly improve our defence.

I also think that we should try our best to loan Kalvin Phillips. He will likely be loaned to someone, as he needs minutes ahead of the Euros and he won’t be getting them at Manchester City.

Regardless of my opinions on him (never got the hype even when he was apparently doing well for England), signing him would be mental given our lack of funds and desperate need for some attacking quality.

I said the same a few weeks ago. I wouldn’t buy him, don’t think we could afford him or his wages. But a loan would be a good move. He definitely suits a dyche team he’s great in both boxes. And I’d we have the 4 we have now with our holgate.

What happens when Tarkowski is out, we’d be in trouble with Keane/ Branthwaite, would be asking a lot of the kid. Or even worse with Godfrey. I’d feel more comfortable with a maguire with Branthwaite. Whatever happens we need a new partner for Tarkowski
