He'll have known when he came in here who was going to be available this summer that he wanted and at a price we could handle.

They wont be the type of signings many will be thrilled about, but they'll be in his estimation the signings we need to be competitive in the bottom half of the table for next season and the one after that.

Unusually I find myself agreeing with virtually everything you've said Zat. I must go for a check up.
I'd also add that we need a 2nd striker for squad depth.

I was just thinking the past few days about the players. They need a lift with a couple of quality signings joining.

They arent daft and know we need 2 attacking/goalscoring threats.

Wheeling and dealing to spread available funds across the 5 or 6 hopeful punts posters want us to make just wont affect the first 11.

We need to focus on quality.

That includes Branthwaite returning proud as punch about winning a trophy.

Yes. I believe he's sorted out with Thelwell many months ago who is to come in and who is to leave.

He's made a big play about clubs planning ahead in a few press conferences, so I dont expect any lack of prompt movement to be down to him. If they do dally it'll be down to this club doing what it's done for years in transfer windows: leaving it late so they dont have to start paying wages straight away.

I don’t think we have the finances for Abraham. I think we are the right level of club for him to be honest. Not good enough to start for the top 6 or 7
