Good morning mates and welcome to the 1st of September and my final transfer round up. I’ll be back for more like harvesting in December/Jan! Have a good one!

The Mail’s Simon Jones has reported in today’s print edition (September 1, p70) that Everton have made a late approach to sign Luis Sinisterra from Leeds United – in a move that could open the flood gates. Sinisterra, 24, is back in the Leeds fold after refusing to play for the club for a handful of matches – alongside Willy Gnonto. A different scenario to Gnonto thought, with legal issues central to the matter.

Everton have been linked with an ambitious move to sign Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips on loan today. iNews have now linked Phillips with a move to Goodison Park.

Everton have been offered the chance to sign West Ham’s Danny Ings. According to TEAMtalk, the Toffees could further bolster their attack and Sean Dyche could be about to reunite with his former striker.

Lille have launched a loan bid to sign Demarai Gray. That’s according to L’Equipe, who have reported that the French club are eager to bring the Everton winger in in a surprise transfer deadline day move.

Journalist Fraser Fletcher claims Everton are likely to move for Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnonto once again today. Fletcher took to X on Thursday evening and suggested the possibility of Gnonto completing a switch to Goodison Park before the deadline is possible.

Fulham have offered Alex Iwobi a significantly better offer than the one he has at Everton, according to the Mirror. The newspaper reported on its print edition (page 59, 1 September) that the Cottagers have made a £20million bid for the midfielder.

Premier League duo Bournemouth and Wolves are in talks to sign Southampton’s Che Adams, claims Football Insider, who also report that Crystal Palace and Everton have an ongoing interest. Last night, talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook revealed that Wolves are pushing to sign Adams in the final hours of the summer transfer window, and that Southampton have a replacement in Sunderland’s Ross Stewart lined up.

Everton could still allow Neal Maupay to leave the club on deadline day, if the right situation surrounding a deal presented itself, Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor revealed to GIVEMESPORT

Reports that Middlesbrough tabled a £4 million offer to beat the likes of Norwich City and Sunderland in the race for Everton striker Tom Cannon are wide of the mark, according to The Northern Echo. According to journalist Alan Nixon, Sunderland see Cannon as a replacement for Ross Stewart, who looks on course to join Southampton before tonight's deadline. They face competition from plenty of places, however, with Leicester City reportedly tabling a bid, and Norwich City already linked

Chelsea have gone in with a big bid for Everton target Antonio Nusa as they try to sign him on deadline day.
Nusa, 18, is on the books at Belgian side Club Brugge and despite him being linked with Everton recently, it appeared he would be staying put as the window closes. They have sent a bid of €30m to Club Brugge for the attacker and the Belgian side are prepared to look at it given the level of offer.

Everton outcast Jean-Philippe Gbamin has been linked with a deadline day departure. The European transfer window closes today - and it has been claimed that Gbamin has a potential suitor in the form of Cadiz. Spanish publication El Desmarque reports that the La Liga outfit ‘continue to study’ a switch for the Ivory Coast internatonal.

Everton are set for a cash boost after Niels Nkounkou finalised a transfer from Saint-Etienne to Eintracht Frankfurt on deadline day. According to French radio station RMC, Saint-Etienne are set to receive a fee of €10.5m from the left-back’s departure. Everton had a 30 per cent sell-on in the deal and are now due a significant pay out from the defender’s move to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Everton have entered negotiations regarding a deal to sign West Ham United's Maxwel Cornet, but a reliable journalist has revealed that a deal taking place is likely to depend on one particular condition.

Taking to X, Mike McGrath confirmed that Everton have opened talks with West Ham over a temporary move for Cornet, with his club already in negotiations to secure his replacement to allow him to move to Goodison Park. He wrote:

"Everton are exploring deal for West Ham forward Maxwel Cornet. West Ham working on Filip Kostic deal for similar position, allowing Ivory Coast international to be loaned to #EFC."

Leicester City are set to win the race to sign Everton striker Tom Cannon in a deal worth £6m and rising, according to Alan Nixon.
Excellent work today and throughout the window. Thanks

Could be a smart signing if we get him on loan like Wolves or cheap. Swap deals don't really happen anymore but I think with us selling them Iwobi they're probably more open to dealing with us, as a show of good faith. Him and Gnonto or Sinistera, with Iwobi, Cannon and hopefully a few more going out wouldn't be a bad day at all in my opinion. Overall a fairly good window.

They probably bought Beto knowing they would be getting money for Iwobi and Cannon today and we won't bring a CB in 🙄
Finances are definitely a lot more complex than the 'net transfer fee' version fans work on.

As much as we kick transfer fees down the road - other teams will be doing that to us too.

For sure, we must sign players expecting to sell others to meet out liabilities.

I really like Harrison Reed, would be a smart signing and add some needed midfield depth with Iwobi leaving. Good business if we pull it off, and always seems to play really well against Everton lol
