Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

One swallow doesn't make a summer mate, and one key goal or temporary run of form doesn't mean we should appreciate a player forever (Dan Gosling scored against the RS, Bily scored some belters, etc. etc.) He could have scored against Palace a month earlier if he'd not been sent off against Spurs for slapping Kane in the face
We absolutely should do. Horne, Stuart and Farrelly equally still revered ! FWIW I think Doucoure is an awful baller but he is assured of a place in our recent folklore. You'll not convince me otherwise, nor do you have to.

Soucek & Coufal

No thanks.
Everton should take a look at the new Lukaku. Brian Madjo from FC Metz and Luxembourg. 16 years old and a real beast . He will be better than Lukaku. Born in England (his mother is english) but playing for the Luxembourgian national team. Did have his first game against Sweden (1:0 win for Luxembourg). The guy is impressive

Seems to have only played for Metz u19s?

Adam Wharton looked great for Palace today, as did Eze. Both signed from The Championship. Maybe we should be looking there.
There are quality players everywhere.

The world is our oyster.

Where would you say has been our most successful hunting ground?

Would be interested to see a chart of some kind.

What league where Carlise in when we signed Branners? Barnsely when we signed Stones?

I think League One? I dunno, just guessing.

Lescott, Cahill Championship
Coleman League of Ireland

As for unlucky Leagues, we ever signed anybody good from The Dutch League, Serie A? My memory is bad, so probably missing something.

But my point is, there is quality everywhere.

You look at Forest who finished below us last season and are currently in the top four, and it shows you what you can do with good recruitment and a good coach. Whilst they spent alot initially last summer they weeded out the players that didn't work and added pace and guile. We desperately need pace from the right wing and someone who can chip in with goals like Ndiaye and some full backs with quality delivery and more guile centrally.
