Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I can see the logic. But in the last 5 years we've effectively paid him a total of 25 million pounds to make us lose matches. We'd have as good chance winning matches playing with 10 and saving that money than having him in the team
Agree him staying would to be 4 th choice just not sure how we get a player to come in to be 4th choice but is up to moyes. If he stays be a reduced deal

Injuries are the main reason we shouldn't but, as I've said a few times, I'm with Goat here - I can easily see it happening based on Moyes's numerous pursuits of him in the past. I like him as a player in the bits we've seen and what he's showed when he's had PL minutes in the past, but you can't be buying a player with an injury record like his IMO. It's another reason why even if DCL wanted to stay at this point, I'd rather we went our separate ways.
I think we could see another season long loan.

Again not sure i would - would he be in that group undisputedly to build a team around - not sure he is.

Negotiable IMO mate.
I would add O’Brien and Armstrong.

Agee Tim, James, Tarks, Gueye for a year, Mykolenko , Beto and McNeil are ok for the squad for 1-2 years but either improve or we move on for a fee.

I would definitely shift Patterson. He doesn’t know what is going on behind him

Forgot to add Chermiti who I like and think will be a good player after a year long loan

@Neiler is not saying ditch everyone he hasent mentioned on his list.

He's saying the standard bearer are ones of the quality the 4 he picked has shown (a bit quick putting Alcaraz in there)

Its basically how Moyes started off from around 2005, his standard bearers were Cahill, Arteta & (whisper it Neville)
He had decent players in the side (Valente, Weir, Carsley, Johnson etc etc)
Eventually they got ousted for more quality (Jagielka, Lescott, Baines, Yakubu, Fellaini)

Not putting Garner or O' Brian on that list isnt a slight on them, it just means that they have to get up to, or stay at the level the likes of Branthwaite, N'Diaye & Pickford have shown

Keane has to go. I don’t want there to be any chance he can get on the pitch.

If we’re looking at 4 CBs in the squad then the perfect mix for me would be the older statesman in Tarkowski, two prime players in OBrien and Branthwaite, and then we should be looking to bring through a young academy CB or prospect who doesn’t mind sitting on the bench for a year and playing early round of cup games.

I’d rather a young prospect made mistakes than watch Michael Keane throw points away again because he’s done absolutely nothing to solve his persistent performance anxiety.

A player I would like us to go after is Mateus Fernandez of southampton he has had a good season even if the saints have been awful and only 20 years old. A saints friend also stated he has been much better than dibbling this year.

Thought he played well against that lot at the weekend, I'd never heard of him but he stood out imo.
