Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Heard that West Ham (from their bloggers plus the ex-employee bloke) that they have put a massive wage offer and signing on fee for him, which in turn has pissed off a number of their first teamers (not sure how they would know though)
Does seem to get the news for west ham be interested see what deals other players inbthe squad is on wouldnt surprise me if some was on lower contracta

CM at the moment is:

Gana Out of contract but likely extension
Garner 1 year + 1 year option (i think)
Iroegbunam 2 years
Armstrong 3 years

ACM of course

Alcaraz on loan
Doucoure out of contract
McNeil 2 years

I think we could do with a top notch young central midfielder.
Garner , Iroegbunam & Armstorng

Any thoughts on Caleb Kporha?@Zatara

Right back, can cover left.
Available on a free in the summer.

I read the news about him and saw he's in the England u19s.

My thinking is that a few decisions need to be made at RB.

Coleman & Young out

Then its whether to have O'Brien continue at RB...of course whether Patterson is the rotation option or Dixon steps up into the first team.

If we did sign Kporha then he would expect to be in the first team as that seems to be where he has arrived at the moment.

My 'feeling' is that O'Brien moves to CB. A new RB is signed and Patterson is sold.

Then its whether Dixon steps up to 2nd choice RB (not forgetting that Moyes would probably use O'Brien over him) or goes on loan.

Im always in favour of signing English youth internationals but he will need to see a pathway to have chances or he wont join.

I havent seen him play so no opinion there either.

As I mentioned, of 2 CMs it probably looks like:

LCM: Gana / Iroegbunam
RCM: Garner / Armstrong

ACM: Alcaraz / McNeil

Thats if Gana extends and Alcaraz signs of course.

With Rigg he's mostly played ACM, CM and then DM https://www.transfermarkt.com/chris-rigg/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/947411

I dont think theres any harm in signing him to rotate in/out of the squad. Especially with him being a left footer he may be able to take Gana's place (by then behind Iroegbunam) in 12months time.

Whenever there is a talented English youth international available then we should be looking at it and seeing how to create a pathway.

I'll be none plussed if he goes there.

Wouldn't get anywhere near West Hams midfield.

Not sure he'd get anywhere near ours either.

He's 17 hugely rated and playing in most games for Sunderland -- why wouldnt we want him in the squad :o

If you believe the press Spurs are offering 38 mil for him.
So that's a big fat fat NO for us.
His position would be pretty low down as a priority, so again No.

Swap 17 for 18 & sunderland for Derby, and you have just described Harrison Armstrong, without the £25m outlay

And that should also be something Sunderland should be asking for, considering what Spurs paid for Archie gray

Don't see Dixon being anywhere close to good enough to play right back in the PL unfortunately. I'd love to be wrong but he just doesn't look like a top quality prospect from what i've seen.
