Hopefully Martinez knows of the perfect players out there, but if we got say: Lukaku, Remy, Lallana and a fully fit Rodwell (or someone better/less broken) and with some shrewd loans on top. We'd be on for winning a euro trophy/league double, absolute minimum, factoid.

I like your thinking but if we sign Lukaku I don't think they'll be another big money signing of the scale of Lallana or even Remy for that matter.

I can see us trying to sign Lukaku (only at £20m though for me, no more), maybe a £5-6m squad player signing for midfield maybe, Barry permanently and Deulofeu & Traore back on loan, and maybe one more young talented loan signing to help fill out the squad?!

Yeah he started out as a RB but then Stubbsy shifted him to CB a couple of seasons ago in U-21's and made him captain and he's flourished and earned rave reviews and Martinez said recently that he's as good as ready to step up to first team squad and break through.

good stuff, looking forward to these lads getting a chance. was all hope before.
 

I also think if we sign Lukaku we might only be left with 5-6M left to spend, with the rest of the signings being loans and free agents.

Think it could be very realistic to bring this group of players next season:
Lukaku (20M +/-)
Barry (free)
Carles Gil (6M+/-)
Colback/Rodwell (free/loan)
Deulofeu (loan)

along with some of our youngster breaking throuhgh like Browning, Duffy and McAleny. We could have great cover all over the team with plenty of talented and hardworking players who can play multiple positions.

GK: Howard, Robles
DEF: Coleman, Stones, Browning, Jags, Distin, Alcaraz, Duffy, Baines, Oviedo
CM: Barry, McCarthy, Gibson, Colback/Rodwell
Wings/AM: Mirallas, Pienaar, McGeady, Deulofeu, Barkley, Naismith, Osman, Gil
ST: Lukaku, Kone, McAleny

Really rate him. Great goalscorer, great movement off the ball and pace, as good a finisher as you'll see. The one negative I see in him is he is not good at taking on defenders. Fox in the box type of striker. Would sign him for the right price.
 
I have some vietnamese friends who watches a lot of J- and K-league, and all of them keep raving about a guy called Kim Shin Wook, one of them, a fellow Evertonian, likens him to a Big Dunc' type of player (i know, almost sacrilegious to say). Haven't seen anything but youtube clips of him, but they say he is quite the player. Apparently his contract runs out in 8 months aswell so he could come cheap.

6'5", good with the head, clinical finisher with a quite good scoring average the last couple of years, taking into consideration it's the Korean league.
