Clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City and Spurs won't be loaning us players any more after our progress this year, you can be sure of that.
If we signed Ben Arfa half of our fans would go mental very early on as he doesn't do any tracking back. Once you accept that then it's for martinez to decide if he can fit into a system of play. His talent is there for all to see but his personality will never change.
I'm so encouraged by what martinez has brought to the table this year in terms of attacking play - when you see the improvements in Naismith in particular and with what he did with Maloney at Wigan - i'd love to see what he could do with someone as talented as Ben Arfa. We still struggle to break down a stubborn defence and he's the kind of player who can beat a man and create chances

Hmmm I don't know, depends on what sort of player we want to loan I think.
Just look at Barry, City didn't want him so would of probably loaned him to anyone. Chelsea loaned Moses to Liverpool and he's been part of there title challenging squad in competition with his parent club.
Likes of Chelsea have so many unneeded players that they will loan out the likes of Thorgan Hazard, Piazon, Atsu, Bamford, van Aanholt, Kalas, Bertrand Traore and the list could go on.

no way did chelsea think liverpool would be challenging them though. but i agree with your point. i mean we would have been expecting to finish in that 5th-7th bracket anyway, city and chelsea would have expected that.

I disagree. Mirallas has been fantastic at tracking back recently, against Arsenal and Utd he provided so much cover.

Not sure what budget we will be looking to work with and wether we can afford these players wages and prices but the perfect acquisitions for me would be: Hernandez, plenty of pace and one of the best finishers, and games like palace were all we cold do was just cross would be fine for him too as he just knows where to be and seems more and more unhappy at united with lack of playing time, Sessegnon, great creativity and almost like a pienaar replacement but better in every department and Nastasic, great at playing the ball out the back as RM likes. Perhaps need to look at a new cdm too if barry goes

I tihnk prem proven is the way to go in my opinion, it's a hugely desirable trait knowing that a player should be able to hit the ground running in the league. The same goes for managers, as we have seen with Roberto, I dread to think what life would be like without him and with Vitor.
