Maybe a young centre back but we can probably wait for that with Jags, Distin & Stones all very good
Maybe a winger similar to Pienaar, good on the ball and likes to come inside (key to baines over lapping, hence why ossie played there a few times round N,castle away, Arse home , S'land away and baines was in top form)

Bundesliga insiders with a lot of buzz on Dortmund's search for a replacement for Lewandowski right now. They've got Dortmund looking at Bony and Ciro Immobile and has them valued at 20m (25m euro) and 12.5m (15m euro). If Dortmund go in for Bony, think he'd pick us over Germany? I'd definitely have us take a look at Ciro and see if he'd translate to English football.

Apparently Dortmund is in on Firmino too and he's valued at 16.5m (20m euro) -- along with Real Madrid, Atleti, Citeh, RS and Chelski.

I'd love Milner but would settle for Colback or Jedinak. Barry on a free, Gerry D and Traore back on loan. Lukaku to be signed after the WC (and if we get priced out, I can see Traore and Kone starting and another young striker in on loan?). How about Vertonghen for a big money defensive purchase (heir to Distain)?
 
I think something important in Bobbys thinking is the value of the players we have lost through long term injury. He views these as quality players that will boost the squad and make things seem better than they did this season. Then to add some more to increase squad depth further will allow us to compete in three cup competitions. Kone, Bryan, gibbo have all missed big chunks of the season. Also Pienaar and Traore will be back. I think it will be important to get 2 quality signings in but 4 squad players will also be very important. I think we will lose lukaku so the quality has to come up front and centre back.

For me martins indi and bony.

Then some squad players like milner rodwell ince etc
 

I would like Nathan Redmond from Norwich, thought he played well against us. I also liked the look of that Bolassie lad for Palace, and I know the screaming skull would never sell him to us, but I have been impressed with Fabio Borini every time I have seen him play for Sunderland? I would be made up with Milner to be honest and also happy enough to have a go at Albrighton. I doubt we will see any 'stars' coming in and seem to remember Bobby saying if it was Europa, he would be looking a quantity.

But surely that means quantity AND quality? No point in just filling the squad out with rubbish...

Think people just misquote Bobby at times mate, his comments from memory where about the type of quality difference you can attract if in the CL compared to not being so, but the point about numbers in was the constant
