My brother used to watch wigan a fair bit and reckoned cleverley was the next big thing for united etc mate, god knows what happened but probably hasn't helped that he's been given a defensive role when apparently he's better going forward but had it drilled out of him, think he also has been getting scapegoated for untied for quite a whilst so his confidence has probably been shattered by now.
All said though i think the papers are just doing the typical, who used to paly for wigan and link them to martinez at everton jarg stories atm, and the 15m figure is laughable to anyone who has a inkilng about footy as well, one year left on a contract, hated by a lot of their own fans, criticized hugely in the media on a constant basis, and then linked at 15m is the worst journalistic effort i've seen in a long time

As for Remy, he's got like 2-3 years left on his contract, and the widely held view is if QPR don't get promoted he's off, and if they do he could be off anyways, likely around 10-12m range, but wages could be a problem as from memory he's on something like 100k+ at QPR

Unbelievable to think Remy is on a 120k a week, goes to show how poorly run Q.P.R were at the time, i like Remy but not a hope id commit such ludicrous money to him. Didn't realise Cleverly had only a year left on the contract, in that case United have no hope of getting £15m.

Exactly mate, it's why if he doesnt sign a new contract by the summer i can actually see the story gaining legs, Remy if it wasn't for the background with the rape charges that got dropped would be a good acquisition, i just pride the reputation of the club too highly to take a risk on someone like that though

In
Schneiderlin
Zaha
Remy

Out
Naismith
Osman
Hibbert
Kone
Anyone who listened to Phil Neville

get rid of naismith and osman who have been very very handy squad players this season and kone based on 2 games for us when he was fasting?

what exactly has zaha done so far at premier league level to say he's anywhere near good enough for us?

Why Holtby mate?

"HE'S A BLUE INHE?". Nah just think he could be available relatively cheap, relatively affordable wages. Young enough to have a decent sell on value if needed. Believe Bobby would get the best out of him. Know we have Barkley made for the #10 position but I can't see Holtby harming us. Almost said "an Osman replacement" there but swerved.

Naismith, Ossie and Kone stay because if we are looking at Europe we need the players - and both Ossie and Nais have shown they can offer something. Kone still needs a decent chance when injury free.

Cleverly? Surely we must have better options than that!?

Naismith n osman squad players, but nothing more. We shouldn't be relying on these if we want to improve

You should neva stand still, and accept 'ok', we should dare to dream and that will be without naisy in long term

Kone I will give another yr

He is reportedly on about 75-80k a week:

Which is in the region of what we were paying Fellaini, Arteta and Moyes before the increase in TV money. Pienaar is on a mint as well, I've heard talk of over 70k a week.

That's a bit more reasonable (in football terms).

He'd want more I'd guess.
