Huge win. Embarrassing record, finally put to bed.

I always said I thought we'd be 'okay' and steer clear of relegation. Still, long way to go but huge win, morale boosting victory.

Winning at home to Fulham should be a routine victory, satisfying but expected. Unfortunately, our current situation means todays victory is like winning the lottery! So, delighted with the win but a bit of perspective, 4 years ago we were beating Arsenal at home and doing the double over Newcastle. So, no dancing from the rooftops from me but over-the-moon with a huge win.

Finally, a win and a clean sheet!

Everton, beat Newcastle midweek too - Thanks for that! Always good to see them scum boo at FT.

Hopefully we build on today.
Well done . Painful when things drag on. Hope you're on the way back up now .

No team (well maybe the RS :) ) should go a whole year without winning at home, I'm pleased for the fans they have finally shaken off the Moyes from the team and can hopefully climb the table from here.
Well sort of agree except I'd add newcastle (the geordie kopites) and West ham (the Cockney kopites,) not as bellendy delusionaly as the crackpot barmcake faced pudding headed tosspots with the from across the park though.

I was close to adding them also but I would be happy enough if they win one or two games at home in a season!! :p

Newcastle fans still like to remind us that they are a force to be reckoned with. They genuinely think Rafael will be given a 'war chest' which will take them to their god given right of ultimate glory. What frustrates me is the fact it's impossible to have a proper debate/conversation with them, they just go on daft. There's a lad at work called Paul who is from Seaham, but supports Newcastle. When I tried to have a proper debate on their prospects of going down this year, he started singing "Sunderland fc - always in our shadows" and then at that point I just give up, walked away and sighed. I know, not all of them resemble this **** at work but it just reiterates their reputation in my eyes as being deluded & arrogant.

They constantly claim that we are irrelevant to them, that they don't care about 'small Sunderland' but then contradict themselves. For example, when we played Man City in the league cup final a few years ago they had a 'support the blues' day where they all got dressed up, and headed to the pub to watch City beat us 3-1 in the final. There's pictures on social media of hundreds of them wearing light blue tops and getting their faces painted etc! When we went 1-0 up I bet they crapped themselves! lol But, it seemed a hell of a lot of effort to go to, to actively support the team we were playing! I thought they didn't care? (n)

Even on their very forum, there's a 'SMB' thread dedicated to mocking all things Sunderland. Which has about 9,000 pages! Of course, we have thread/threads about them on our forum, but we don't deny the fact we hate them and take an active interest in seeing them lose! They, apparently don't care as we're in their shadows...

6 in a row we've beat them recently, we're also the last side between us to win a major cup (1973).

They're in serious bother this year. Terrible run they're on. Also, contrary to what they think, I've heard rumours this alleged massive transfer kitty they are banking on is nothing more than an illusion. So, we'll see what happens there. The 'Geordie Nation' may have to wait a bit longer, before they challenge City for top spot and take their rightful place in the top 4 places :D

They did start the season well and got points on the board early which might save their bacon. Be interesting to see how they get on over Christmas. You beating them last week was a bitter blow - Love it!

Anyway, we've got bigger things to worry about than them. I'm hoping we can build on the Fulham win. Huge, huge game at home to fellow strugglers Birmingham next. Then we've got Sheffield United on Boxing day (which I'm already putting down as a defeat) So, 3 points on Saturday could finally put some ground between us and the bottom 3. Birmingham are really poor, especially away from home, so it's a huge game which could decide our season.

Final point - your loan boys. Browning was superb on Saturday, read the game well, happy to bring it out from the back but knew when to get rid too. He's been a rare positive this season so far. Hasn't always been great but fairly consistent and considering his age - doing really well. I'd assume Sam will have his team keeping an eye on him, be interesting to see if you'll let him come back for 1 more season (if he continues doing well) or if you want him back to push for his place in your squad.

Galloway has been out of the team since the Leeds match in September when we had a stinker. So, not much to say on that one.

You're right! Forgive my blasphemy for excluding the bits you've mentioned.

There best insult is "Least we have an airport". It's such a sickening insult, that keeps us awake at night. There's no come-back to that.

We both forgot "The Entertainers" everybodies 2nd team and on par with Brazil 1970

Oh yes. It's said, the Newcastle team that nearly won the league played the best football the world has ever seen - ever. 'King Kev' had them playing football on par with Brazil from the 70's like you said mate.

It's just a shame the fans didn't share the same attractive look. In Brazil, they had beautiful topless women, with their boobs popping out of low-cut tops, with beautiful, tanned beach bodies to match. Newcastle fans, resembled a look of the extras from the film - Planet of the Apes. With full grown men showing an impressive 4 layers of fat, with 'NUFC 4 EVA' tattoos clearly visible. Quite a contrast.

I remember when they went down in 2009. They were in deep trouble and they found their salvation, hero and idol in Alan Shearer. He took over the relms as manager, promised the fans passion & hope... "He'll save us" they said, then they got relegated anyway lol lollol
