Toast

NEVILLE---Toast----Cheese----Toast

Toast-----Cheese

Toast Cheese
Toast

Cheese

If we could get Cheese or Toast to get the 1st goal (and NEVILLE avoid slipping it by Toast for an OG), they aren't scoring and we run riot.

A serious preview for a serious game. I am more nervous for this than I was for the derby. I probably rate them too much tbf (I've got Mclean done up like Bale in my mind ffs) I will be inconsolable if we lose. Never experienced a derby at Wembley. It'll be a criminal waste if we don't get through. At least we know there'll be no playing for draws and that Moyes takes this game, if possible, too serious. Please, boys. No what ifs.

We really didn't play "lackluster" against them. Sunderland was up for it, are in the top 1/2 of the table and we had possession for >2/3 of the match.

We are the better, more talented, and deeper team (really we are). Timmy has been saving penalties of late. Cahill is to Sunderland what Scharner is to us. Our fans are going to every bit as loud as Sunderland's fans. So there is no reason why I don't think we can't win there.

I think we have a real shot at winning this with all due respect to Sunderland. If I had to guess at a lineup:

.........................Howard.....................

Neville......Heitinga........Distin.......Baines

Osman.....Fellaini.....Gibson........Drenthe

...................Cahill.............................

..........................Jelavic...................

COYB !!!!!

The only thing i would change is, swap the wingers and have them both cutting in on their stronger foot. Drenthe will cause mayhem and osman will have baines for support. the way moyes was talking in his swansea post match interview, i wouldn't be surprised to see jags back in the defence.

Excellent.

Just 1 thing.

Sunderland: Mignolet, O'Shea (C), Bridge, Kyrgiakos, Turner, Gardner, McClean, Colback, Vaughan, Sessegnon, Bendtner.

They didnt rest anybody at the weekend.

I think you'll find they rested Bardsley and Larrson, O'Shea was replaced after 10 mins with a calf strain. Oh and Richardson is fit.
It's going to be tough !

You'll always get plenty of beauts online but on the whole their fans are good lads. One of the few sets of opposition fans in the division I have any time for.

They've got a good team and it should be a good game.

Yeah, the ones that got on here seem ok-ish. Unlike a certain Brian swan. Turned me right off Swansea, he did

This could easily go to pens.

Oh, and being cup tied is as gay as Christmas. That rule will surely be changed soon.

Sunderland, an odd bunch of players. Mainly cause they've never really been a nightmare to play against. We rarely lose to them, and if we do badly, it's usually our own fault.

Still, their players intimidate me quite a bit, usually a bit irrationally. Gardner for example, has had a slight tendency to score against us regardless of club. A Scharner junior if you will. McClean and Colback have been lively and quite dangerous players regardless of opposition. Though i believe Colback scored their goal against us last time out in the league. Mignolet is also the keeper starlet of the season, second to Michel Vorm. But we put two past Vorm on saturday, so bring it on.
Bendtner, Larson and Sessegnon are all very good players on their day, though they can also play absolutely terrible terrible games. Let's not overestimate them, let's go the other way around. All looking down on them and the like, yeah?

Regarding our own team selection, seems Chico is pretty on that. The CB's will defo be Heit + Distin, though Jags does indeed have an outside chance. Might get one of those rare subs (Moyes only subs defenders like once a season!) for 45 minutes of fresh action from each of the two former studs.
This might sound dystopic too, but obviously Neville with start at right back, no doubt. Something about experience and how we play away.

As for midfield, we're guaranteed starts for Felli (who was rested saturday) and Drenthe. Not sure on what we'll make of the other wing and the other holding mid + Cahill's role. Gibson deserves to start and would make me happy if we did. Rodwell was doing the job last time out but shows his own slightly less impressive trademark style of play. We need him to show up like he did against David Silva earlier. Put Sess away, that's what we need. Thusly, there's that boring outside chance of Nev in midfield and hibbo at RB.

I'm gonna get slightly opitimistic here and predict Coleman or Ossie on the right wing, our main damage coming from the left and rather doing the double-up job on the other side. Cahill will probably start, possibly together with Straq instead of Jela.

Yeah. Tomorrow, in exactly 36 hours' time, we've booked that Wembley place.
