Absolute [Poor language removed].

Clueless tactics and subs. A striker who did nothing for 80minutes. A midfield that was bossed and not changed.

Cahill, Pienaar, Baines, Jags and Distin - turned up.

Everyone else - I'd drop the lot (maybe not Coleman).

As for Moyes....lost for words to be honest. He seriously cant read a game and make changes.

That's my opinion.

It's mine too mate.

I'll say this much.

If I saw news on the OS tomorrow that Round has moved on, I wouldn't be terribly disappointed. He's got to get in Moyes ear from time to time and not in a good way.

What's the use of a number two if he isn't going to give his own point of view on things and possibly call Moyes' attention to something he isn't seeing?

Bring back Irvine.

Agree.

Worst thing is, even when they turned up, Pienaar and Baines (especially Baines) are at fault for the 1st goal and Cahill didn't do anything defensively on their deep playing central midfielders for the whole game, Henderson and Cattermole had awfully lot free time on the ball. But maybe he was instructed by Moyes to play that way, tough to say.

I must admit, with each passing week I'm finding it more and more difficult to blindly follow Moyes.

Absolutely right there. When we were on top in the second half, the game was crying out for Moyes to bring on Yakubu for Saha and perhaps Rodwell for Heitinga. Instead, he prefers to play Rodwell out of position and persist with Saha (who did nothing but lose the ball) until the 80th minute before making a change he should of made atleast 20min earlier. Aaaargh!

Again your football analysis astounds me.

What you meant to say was, "That should have been on target."

There was a small matter of the opposition goalkeeper who he still had to beat.

Let's get it right next time shall we?

Mate, he was clean through on goal, he has to hit the target. If the keeper saves it then that's something, but he's blazed it high over the bar.

Stop defending the players regardless. They are paid an awful lot of money to do a job. Clean through, you have to hit the target. It's that simple. Beckford will say himself that he has to hit the target.

Sorry if it disappoints you mate, but sometimes it's not about defending the players. We are allowed to be critical you know.

Im no tactician but as a fan of football and watching the game, knowing what players on the bench and what they're employed to do - you can easily see in that game -

Saha wasnt doing enough and needed to be off and half time, 60th minute mark. Cahill was our main striker tonight.

We were playing 4 in the middle and being swamped...needed an extra player in there.

Arteta and Heitinga are like yoyo's and not being given specific instructions - one to sit, one to play-make.

Sunderland were woeful at set pieces and crosses....so he takes off a wide player for a midfielder who, last time played right wing, was very poor and got injured in that position. He has a wide, or supposidly wide player, on the bench who can cross.

If Moyes picks Saha and Heitinga next game....God knows
The team has been in need of big changes since the B/pool
game....better in patches second half but it's always when were behind...
Not good for the heart......

100% agree with you, that was the point of my post.

Just typical us and the continuing themes really piss me off.

We play nice football but can't score.
Saha starts before Yakubu in a 4-5-1.
We start well but then go a bit meh.
The other team scores and we start to finally have a bit of ambition.
We go 4-3-3 with ten minutes left to try and salvage something.

I'm bored of saying could have been worse, it should have been much better.
