Gonna go against the grain here..

Beckford as dropped in the deep-end when we signed him..a huge jump and way too quick.
He had what 5, 6 minutes tonight and maybe 2 or 3 touches?? His first real chance to get the ball at his feet and it's that golden chance...I feel if he'd had 20 minutes longer on the pitch he might have put that away...

It's damn hard coming into a game as a late sub, especially up front..
Let's give him a chance, I actually think he might come good..Sure he's no Lineker, but it's gonna take time..

Damon can now form an opinion now Chico has shown him the way.

I'm finding it curious how many sit on here and all they do is moan win lose draw.

We're not being consistent. Thats annoying. Think the system in the middle's not helping and neither the wingers either.

Plus Yak over Saha any time at the moment.

But still. No real ****ging off like some on here.

Told you. Only after Chico posts can Damon form an opinion.

I think Beckford is useful as an 80th min sub when we are protecting a lead and/or out of ideas and resorting to hoof ball. He beats most CBs in a foot race at that point of a match.

Like against the RS when Moyes got it right...to take the pressure off us, he put a striker on.

He's not done anything like that since. Past 3 games he's just resorted to putting 2 strikers on chasing the game at the 80th minute

We've looked good in spells, but we haven't put together an entire 90 minutes more than once or twice all season. That's what frustrates me. We're capable of so much more. I think.

Exactly mate. We have potential. I said pre-season that I thought we could go top 4. I think Moyes has been far too defensive. When we were dominating looking for the 3rd, Moyes was going mental at Neville cos he was looking to attack. Sometimes you need to take risks, and he takes none at all.

I was astonished that Rodwell came on for Coleman...Even when it happened I assumed that would mean Arteta was moving out to the right and Rodwell into the centre...
Arteta might have been more effective out there against Bardsley, and couldnt have been any less effective than he was in CM.

I'm not a Moyes hater, I think he's excellent in the transfer market, great at build team spirit, but again and again has shown tactical naivity...ever since the Hibbo sub V Spurs a couple of years ago..

Moyes must have thought Rodwell had a blinder against Villa when he played their last (I believe)

Apparently arse from elbow is a common lecture in the Moyes household. Sometimes Moyes gets it right, but only when Round is off down Tandy sorting himself out some new hi-tech headset.

When everyone has calmed down, it's always good to see what the other team's fans thought of it.

When I said in the preview I liked Sunderland's fans, it was because they're usually really balanced and know their footie. It's easy to say nice one when they're giving out compliments but it they have lots of positive things to say about us, maybe were a little harsh on ourselves sometimes.

Take your pick.

I don't think we can deny that we had decent possession, it's that we gave the ball away in midfield, and failed to be clinical up front.

Also disappointed that as soon as Cahill scored, we went into our shell, and only really came out of it when they had scored. Rather than kicking on and taking 2 or 3 goal leads, we seem to want to rely on the other team not defending.

We also seem to bring everyone back for corners, even though Sunderland left at least 2 back.

Just tactically inept throughout I thought.

Moyes has a track record of having and using a Pacy striker to good effect usually

Bent
AJ

Both played reasonably well - I think beckford will
Do well in a season or two of settling in, to expect him to be #1 striker is bait hopeful.
