When everyone has calmed down, it's always good to see what the other team's fans thought of it.

When I said in the preview I liked Sunderland's fans, it was because they're usually really balanced and know their footie. It's easy to say nice one when they're giving out compliments but it they have lots of positive things to say about us, maybe were a little harsh on ourselves sometimes.

Take your pick.

It was up front we were woeful. If we had brought yak on after the first half, i think we would have won that game.

Moyes has a track record of having and using a Pacy striker to good effect usually

Bent
AJ

Both played reasonably well - I think beckford will
Do well in a season or two of settling in, to expect him to be #1 striker is bait hopeful.

Your jesting. AJ was garbage. Ace at getting throw ins though.

To be fair, I think they're looking at it as a fan of a team who look like they're headed in the right direction and are level headed.

We're still a big team they need to scalp in their eyes, so they're probably more critical of Sunderland and happy with a point. The way things are going, Sunderland will be on equals if better than we are. Next season they'll look at the same fixture and believe its a 3 pointer rather than it settling for a draw like we have in the past.

They've yet to set their expectations high which will come eventually if they keep the good work up.

We've started to hammer our expectations into the ground haha

I think they have the makings of a decent team there, as their results show. They're just a couple of really decent centre halves away from being consistently a good threat to the Europe places. They played some nice stuff tonight too I thought.

Oh [Poor language removed] it, lets just bum.

Their striker force is ace! Bent, Gyan, Welbeck, Campbell...

Onuha is a good loan/perm signing. I think they need a classy winger and another defensive mid and they'll be laughing.

Decent result all things considered, but I found the performance highly frustrating. At times it felt like Baines, Pienaar and Cahill vs Sunderland, far too many players simply didn't compete well enough today, on and off the ball. I can understand some of the criticisms that come Moyes' way, but alot of today's problems where down to the players really, they aren't babies, no amount of tactical nous will stop them making basic errors.

One thing I would criticize him for is the selection of Saha, now as everyone knows, I'm not a Saha hater, he can be effective if used in the right way, but that is as an impact sub. His handling of the striker situation has been disgraceful really, all his interviews before and after games suggested that he was quite happy to get Yakubu out the side as soon as possible. It doesn't take a blind man to see the what Yakubu's all round play has on the side, he also compliments Cahill, which is an added bonus. Saha and Cahill, on the other hand, are miles apart, go for the same ball and have no connection whatsoever. They play high up the pitch, very centrally, and there's no variation there. The teams balance is messed up because of the limited passing options.

It's very frustrating really, I no longer have that confidence that we can go and win these games. A combination of errors from both the players and the manager are costing us big time. Get is sorted.

What comments is he making about Yakubu? Is Moyes acting too big for this club? And did you not think also that he had Heitinga and Arteta playing far too deep and defensive?
