It's not even that he's a winger because he's not really a winger in that he never goes to the byline to cross, he has no pace and he likes to drift inside. The difference is that he's not trying to be a CAM and occupy the same space that Barkley now is. When we have CAMs on the left like Barkley Osman or Nais they always try and be in the same position as the CAM!

Barkley should run at them more....they cant cope with him in that mode. As good as Swansea dominated early on, theyve looked weak when we crisp up the passing around their box. Decent away performance so far IMO. Apart from the Gomis shot I don't think Howard has had anything to do despite all of their possession. Pienaar is knitting everything together, just need to take our chances now.

The difference pienaar has made is undeniable how much impact he has on our team

Yep he is the class we have been missing. He draws free kicks and he is an intelligent player. Speed has gone a bit and his passing is a little more wayward than it used to be but class is class and he defo is. He is a superb connecter of play. Wish we had more like him.
