You don't have a gun batsman coming in at 5 imo, Ali will come off once in about 20 games

Probably the best scenario we could hope for given a loss. If SA win we just need to win. If West Indies win by more than a few runs,or with an over or so to spare we just need to win to overhaul SA. If West Indies win a tight match we need to win by 10 or 15 runs or with an over or so to spare.

Agree, if we beat the US we are almost certainly through.

As much as the IPL improves skillsets, this is far better cricket with bowlers actually in the game and no silly new batsman favoured rules on utter roads

I said that in some of the earlier games where everyone was getting to and struggling to get to 100-130 on tracks that were puddings. It made the batsmen work hard for their runs and kept the bowlers in it. I much preferred that that tracks that allowed the batsmen to be too far on top. That just gets boring
