I have to admit when I am in the UK I am partial to two things mostly:
1. Fish, chips and peas. I'll enjoy this with a side of two slices of bread and some tomato sauce straight from the fridge, probably with a cup of tea (semi or skimmed milk, half a teaspoon of sugar).
2. Indian. Something spicy from the local, with a peshwari or garlic naan, mint chutney and onion relish, plus a papadom or two. I'll enjoy that with a pint of water or so.
Can't get a decent Indian meal in Europe (takeaway or other, as @Billy Dean says above), and fish and chips obviously can't be eaten anywhere but in the UK.

That’s an unusual move.Moved from Liverpool City Centre to Parkgate recently.
The lack of takeaway options is distressing.
I get too much on purpose, finish the rest off in the morningWhatever I get, I always get too much. Eyes well bigger than my belly.
Ye, one of my favouritesCrispy shredded chilli beef and Singapore noodles, superb.
Grew up on the Wirral (Heswall then Oxton). Then moved to London, then Vegas, then Liverpool where I’ve been for the past 10yrs til August. Moved back to Wirral to settle down etc. That’s an unusual move.
Pisces in Heswall is a good chippy and is about 10 mins drive from Parkgate.
Oh there’s an amazing chippy on Parkgate front. That’s the one thing we’re sorted for. No decent Chinese (apart from Chows which technically does takeaway but it’s full on restaurant prices and doesn’t deliver).
Just-eat literally has like 3 places that deliver to here, and they’re all pretty bad.
No, but the logo of Neston cricket club (which is in Parkgate) is a pair of shrimpsVividly remember having shrimps on Parkgate front in a paper bag. Technically, they were a takeaway, even if a 5 year old Roydo didnt know that word.
Do they still exist?
