Just to be clear. You’re now in favour of fan protests?
Part of me thinks that the prospect of protests may be why this seems to be moving so quickly. Trying to rush it through before the fanbase can mobilize and do anything about it.
Guess its ultimately up the the PL wether they become new owners though, so there is a chance it drags on a while.

Yeh they just compile pretty much any news story with the word Everton in. Surely must be an algorithm.
A while ago, like years ago, someone here (I wanna say @Moomin?) made up a rumour that way that ended up being shown on Sky briefly. That was a high point.

Or maybe I dreamt it all up. Was for a carthorse striker as well, Ameobi or the likes lol

Well, they'll be investing in the ground if they buy us. I'm not sure where the love of spending is coming from as it hasn't benefited us one bit. We are in an ffp world, so we will never be spending the amounts that the big clubs spend, unless we significantly bolster our commercial clout.

And who says they won't go cheap on that investment to finish it off? I'm sure there's still time to change how it's built.

It's not a love of spending, it was the intention (poorly spent, which is a different argument). A US consortium isn't going to look at solid investment with an intention. They'll look to boost the "product" first off the field, make themselves profitable, before helping on the field IMO.

The Glazers and FSG bank on the club's global appeal and commercial deals. Chelsea will do the same.

Kronke at Arsenal...fans bemoaning investment for years.
Randy Learner dropped Villa
Burnley have a US sports investment company over seeing their lack of investment.

Just feel we'd be the next lot of US products rather than a football club

To be honest I'm happy to roll the dice with new owners. Moshiri hasn't a clue whatsoever about football, almost relegated us, and we have been a shambles on and off the pitch.

Can I shock you - I agree with you
It's football. By it's nature, nowadays shrouded in mystery. Undisclosed transfer fees, agents unaccountable, FIFA, the list goes on... It's a gold train.

Ten years ago, the wealthy wanted to show themselves and their wealth by buying clubs. Vanity and clever accounting.

Now, it's consortiums. With a "respected" figurehead ie. Staveley, Kenyon et al. And the rest in the murky background.

Not sure where I stand on this tbh......

So you're telling me a consortium want to buy a football club who are not allowed to spend? and whom there is not one individual person to point the finger at if things go tits up.

Why not
