TEAM WAGES (Premier League) compare

They're wage bill was above City (although City overtook them last season) but with CL & PL bonus pay outs, I wouldn't be surprised if they are back top. They tend to have lower basic but massive incentivised bonuses to be paid out. None of the reds seem remotely aware of this, and I had one telling me it was fake news, when I showed them their own teams accounts showing the wage bill well over £300m.

It's actually pretty good practice aswell from FSG. They're an odd bunch.

It’s imperative that no one (Koeman) throws in any stupid bids for their players. VVD, Firmino, Mane, Salah will all demand parity at around 200k a week and some of their lower earners like Robertson and TAA will want huge rises. We need them all declining at the same time on 200k a week long term deals that become a millstone round their neck.

Messi is already 33 so he won't be around long enough to really affect any future TV deals. He'll have 2 seasons then go elsewhere.
According to spanish press he would sign a 5 year deal with City...3 for the premier league and another 2 in City franchise in the mls...so he will be around when we negotiate the new tv deal in 2022.

Managing to get top players to sign up on a decent but not a extravagant wage but with a very high prize money bonus is win win.

not sure if I trust that list.
It's been widely reported that Willian is on a £100k a week basic and he only gets to £192k a week after bonuses, certain targets are met.

What a load of nonsense that table is , the yearly wage bill Is from about 7 years ago I reckon , United , city , Chelsea and the RS is all above 300 million now , ours is over 160 million

Looks blag this, look at Sheffield, top earner is 25k a week that's 1.3 million a year.. so they are only spending 2.3 million on the rest of the squad?
Edit: Jags is on 50k a week at Sheffield.
Was just working sheff utd's quoted figures out myself and it has to be very wrong.

Top earner on 1.3m means the average annual (not weekly) salary for the other 24 in first team squad is less than 100k, or 2k a week. That's league 1 numbers.

As inaccurate as this table is it would be no surprise if Bernard is among the highest earners. He moved on a free - that would have seen his agent able to negotiate a massive wage in comparison due to the lack of transfer fee.

Jags only signed a one year deal so he doesn't earn anything now.

Edit - He re signed but his figures aren't included.

Best looking at 19/20 wages as it's more complete.

Everton for example for 19/20 had a wage bill of 93m but were missing DCL, Gbamin and Sidibe. Easily over 100m in total.

Sheff Utd low figure for this year is because they only have the data for 8 players. Last season they were over 12m.
