There are a lot of strong players on the men's tour right now. Figure Ruud notches a French before he's done, Zverev has time, and Hurkacz will always be a threat to pull an Ivanesevic at Wimbledon with that serve. Medvedev and Sinner are already on the board.

I don't think anyone landing outside the Tour Finals is much of a threat at the Slams, but the high seeds are getting to the quarters because they're just good.

You are, but by days. Federer's birthday is in early August, and he won Wimbledon in July.
