Saw the Author on GMTV few years back and they asked him about that and he said he had no problem as he thought there were no other Actor in Hollywood with Tom's prescence.

Couldn't agree more. Been thinking about this comment at work, it's a far more valuable piece of work to accurately portray character based on their actions, thoughts (when known) than your own artistic version.

Certain men have believed themselves to be "men of destiny" who invariably rise to power, then after a lot of bloodshed, eventually sink dragging their people with them. There's more merit in using history to teach us to understand our own world better than these glib interpretations.

This was a step to far, I'm sorry nic coppola, in the heat of the moment I let his abominations get the better of me, yes he's taken food off the table of other actors, yes his one note hams have finished producers and directors off forever, and on occasion his involvement has sunk some films before they've begun, but he's a trier, and if big nic can make in in tinsel town anyone can. 'Matchstick men' was also alright, so there are a few moments of worth dotted through his quite ghastly history. Imagine the laughs we'd have had if he had got the part in 'event horizon' instead of Sam Neil.
