What is it with people claiming they're middle-class when they're clearly not? Why the shame about being working-class? In my day, for example, you were middle-class if you were a doctor, lawyer or architect; that is, a professional with a high salary. Nowadays it seems any old Tom, Dick or Harry is inclined to see himself as part of the professional elite.
With regard immigration, although there are clearly problems surrounding muslim integration, on the whole it has enriched the UK and Europe. I much prefer a diverse society than a homogeneous one. At my language school, I'm one of the few Europeans. I don't feel threatened by that at all. It strikes me that the vast majority there, including muslims, are just trying to live their lives peacefully.
I just don't think we should judge whole communities on the actions of nutters.

You have to laugh: some Britons have plundered the world, others have made homes for themselves in a bewildering amount of countries and been embraced by their hosts, but a few thousand east European labourers and Asian students are taking the food off our tables and "threatening" our culture.
