Tevez set to seal Man City switch

Still not understanding why people get on players for going for higher wages.

Maybe I'll figure it out in a few years.

I think we all like to think they would play for a pound and an orange at half time tbh

City will be a threat though this season not champions but worth a shout in a cup or two

I honestly thought Tevez was geniunely upset when he thought he wasn't wanted at utd. (y)
I now think he's a money grabbing mercenary who left for the highest offer. (n)
He talks about loyalty, trust etc. Maybe he should have been loyal to the club who gave him a chance at the very top level:huh:

And he's showing huge disrespect to the utd fans by leaving for City. I'll be upset if Lescott leaves for City, and we're not rivals (we're in a different league to them(y))

United isn't innocent in this. Tevez wanted to sign at the beginning of the season but they lowballed the transfer fee.

The guy always gives 100% and will at City so I don't begrudge him taking the money. Even when he wasn't happy he didn't go into operation shutdown like Drogba he gave it his all. Real wanted him but he wanted to stay in England (and w/ the tax laws prob would have made more in Spain). So therefore his only 2 options were Chelsea and City and to be honest I'd pick City over Chelsea anyday even if Chelsea offered me more $$$. At least City has 1/2 decent fans. Liverpool also offered big wages but he ruled them out b/c he was a United player, if he was so disloyal, wanted to stick it to Utd and just after the money he could have brought Liverpool into the bidding war too or signed with them.

City might not to the top 4 this year, I think they'll finish 5-8th but they'll contend in the league in a few years, especially if Murinho comes.

What the fook are they doing? They have about 50 strikers now.

Which is very amusing. The were one of the highest goal scoring teams in the league last year....but also had one of the worst defending records...

But they'll still spend £50million on boosting the strike role. Very funny.

Craig Bellamy (WAL)
Benjani Mwaruwari (ZIM)
Carlos Tevez (ARG)
Ched Evans (WAL)
Felipe Caicedo (ECU)
Jô (BRA) (On loan at Everton)
Robinho (BRA)
Roque Santa Cruz (PRY)
Valeri Bojinov (BUL)

Citeh to finish above Everton, you heard it here first.

If they dont, I will be shocked. They havent even finished spending yet either me thinks. I know their highly built squad will need time to gel, but God help everybody when it does. If any player is out of form, they have countless other players to step in.

City will show everybody what happens when super rich arabs take over a Club.

I'm not so sure, Owl. It'll take a while to gel, particularly as more people come in. They're also having a tough time attracting the type of player they really want. And there is still a question mark over Hughes.

But the season after this ...

£150million+ Citeh have spent so far from the start of last season. They'll probably spend £200million+ by the end of this upcoming season.

Tevez's wages alone will cost £64million over 4years (if he stays that long). Gareth Barry, Robinho, Santa Cruz (maybe) will all be on £100k+ a week.

So overall you're talking say £300+million (with wages) spent from last season to this season only for the "maybe" of getting a top 4 spot and a carling cup of FA Cup silverware.

Not really bitter or arsed...I just think its silly money thrown at a big train set.

I think he's a massive sh*thouse for moving to City straight from United.

I really hope he fails, the United fans loved him and he's thrown in back in their faces the bad belter.

If ManC gets some good defenders in before the season start then they will be a force to be reconned with. Yes, it will take time before the team comes together and before they find the right way to use them all, but when they do....

ManC, Everton, Spurs and AV will be the teams fighting for 5-8 this coming season I think.
