Hahahaha it's actually met the funding goal as well.

Oh dear...

Thank you Bill, thank you ever so much for getting the club for a crazy bargain, investing absolutely nothing in to it while treating a 130 year plus English sporting institution like a personal toy set and standing to make a 1000% profit on it's sale, thank you!

Thanks Bill for taking the club out of the hands of our worst owner, for appointing two of the most diligent and honest managers in the game, for overseeing our rise from the depths of relegation battles to regular European adventures, for continually breaking our transfer record and for not taking a penny out of the club in a time of shyster owners.

A couple of things.

When you target people rather than the issues, this is the sort of point-scoring counterpoint stuff that will happen.

It's also notable this is being flown a few days before the AGM takes place.

He will likely be too ill to attend

Hahahaha get on the name of the thing?

"*Ahem* - calling to order the first annual meeting of the Bill Kenwright Appreciation Club. First order of business; stand and happy clap in unison for his Holy Billness."

"Truly he is a God amongst men."

Mad isn't it, imagine if he'd been on the board under Peter Johnson, he could have helped policy and avoided all that mess.

A plane will fly over Goodison Park carrying a supportive, thank you message to Bill Kenwright when Everton host Aston Villa on 21st November.

An Evertonian, Stephen K setup a ‘gofundme‘ page asking for donations “to thank Bill Kenwright for everything he has done for our club”.

The donation target of £640 was reached within a couple of days. As of writing, 74 people have donated a total of £890.

We asked Stephen for some additional comment;

@davek
That £650 donation - I bet it's from the British Virgin Islands
