The ‘it’s too hot to sleep’ thread

Been several straight days of 93F weather, with the low night time temps only getting down to 73F or so. But my house, for better and worse, holds heat very well, which is great in the winter but makes these nights about 78-80 in my bedroom. I had three fans going these past nights.
Similar here. temps a bit less (30 C = 86 F) going down to about 24 C = 75 F at midnight and maybe around 21 C = 70 F around 6.00am.

High humidity makes it feel worse.

Probs because we don’t need them. Even when it’s hot here it’s not actually hot.
Where I am down south quite a few houses do actually have them. We are stuck in a bit of a micro climate area here, got the South Downs on one side and the Isle of Wight on the other. The weather here is quite often not the same as what it says on the forecast and it can get very hot here at times, today at 8.30 am it was already 25 C and at the moment it's over 30 C.

It's all about what you and your body is used to and how you yourself actually feel.
Mrs degsy is always either mostly too hot and sometimes too cold.
I fight and mostly lose a constant air con battle
Where I am, Brisbane, 24c at night is livable for me anyway.
But bunk that up 5 or 6c or so and throw in humidity and we all struggle, then those in Darwin and Cairns start laughing at Us in a crocodile Dundee manner- that not hot This is hot etc.
It's all relative.
