UKIP arent racists. Not at any point can you really pull a policy out which involves kicking all foreign people out the country. They are mirrored to EDL in people's eyes and therefore they become instantly racist no matter what they do.

I'm not a supporter of them nor the EDL. But if you go to the heart of both parties there are some great policies that actually make sense, espeically in UKIP. If their MPs adopt their own personas or members distort the true belief of the party then that is where they will fall down. But everyone quickly dismisses them as a racist bigot group as if they go round wearing KKK get ups.

This country needs a revolution in politics and if UKIP is that then so be it. 1906 the labour party who stood for the working class came into power for the first time and they changed a lot of politics for the average man. We need a new revolution now for the working man as labour has become its enemy over the past 100 years. Personally i dont want UKIP in power but i also dont want the conservatives in power either.

I agree that politics in this country needs a good shake up (proportional representation would help for a start). There's little difference between New Labour and Cameron's Conservatives IMO. However I don't for one second think a Thatcherite party with Thatcherite policies like UKIP is the answer.

Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

I meant a party that is different from the rest and speaks to the people rather than the specific UKIP idealogy if that makes sense.

If a part were to emerge over the next 10 years with the working class genuinely in mind and push for power in this country for ral change to the system then i am all for that. That is what we need in this country.

Has anyone stopped and thought a privately educated posh MP is not the best leader for this country? How about someone who has grafted all their life and moved up as a result of that? A public school educated leader from down the road so to speak. someone who would treat the country as what it is and not preserve business interests. Someone who doesn't need to pander to the masses to drum up support but just say the right things policy wise and have people back them regardless.

UKIP wants guns, they don't want the NHS and they terrify me.

But the main reason I will never vote for them is quite simply because of how odious I find Farage. Represented as a 'man of the people' he's just another out of touch, privately educated whopper who'll lick big business's arse as it craps all over 4/5 of the population.

Ultimately though the election is like a Miss or Mr Hull pageant. Someone has to win but all of the entrants turn your stomach in some way.

What I want from a leader is a composed, educated, worldly-wise diplomat who can front it up with the worlds leaders. Not some working class warrior made good, like that fool Prescott or angry Ed Balls. And certainly not mealy-mouthed Ed.

Then that leaves Cameron. The same cameron who only a week or two ago was flouncing about giving the EU a billion pounds just because they asked for it. the same leader who left his baby at a pub (social services for us normal people), the same cameron who will kiss everyones arse in order to play the great britian steriotype card that the word sees?

Wouldn't you like a leader who doesnt have to kiss arse and can look out for the country's best interest? If we are better in or out of the EU then at least make sense of it and not just go along because everyone else is. Have genuine poor policies and not the extremes that labour and conservative have put into place over the past 15 years.

Without a true monarch and being ran by Eton boys, this country has lost a huge chunk of its identity and power in voice it seems. we should be one of those dictating the EU, not adhering to it. We add as much into it as anyone else so there should not be any fall back onto paying bills or being told what to do by them.

Or maybe i am a little too old fashioned?

Who would I pick as leader of the UK out of them all, I pick Cameron. Do I agree with the way the EU has a stranglehold over our finances? No. Do I think we'd be better off out of Europe? Not sure, perhaps. Would Labour and Sad Ed be any better at all this stuff? Not a chance.

You sound like you'd prefer this country to be run by some sort of amalgam of Lord Sugar, Bob Crow and a London cab driver.

Strong leaders have historically been terrible for the country, though.

Blair was a disaster the scale of which we still cannot really comprehend. Thatcher was only slightly less bad, and wrecked British manufacturing. Churchill was that well liked as a politician he was booted out the moment the war was over in one of the biggest kickings any PM has ever recieved from an electorate. Chamberlain had the biggest majority any PM has ever had in modern politics, and came within a few months of this country sinking into the abyss. Lloyd George was corrupt, though he at least was Welsh. Asquith led the country in to a needless and preventable war that cost him and everyone else dear. Gladstone used to roam the streets of London seeking hookers.

In fact, the last strong leader we have had that actually improved things was the Duke of Wellington.

Regarding Blair: explain if you would be so kind.

What i want from a leader is someone who can lead, not play politics and do the whole dance around the garden as they do currently.

Who would i pick out of them all now? None in all honesty. This is my point, they are all the same and even though i have a strong dislike for Cameron i don't rate Milliband or any other higher than him. Milliband comes across as weak and not a leader. Clegg is clearly never got the qualities to be one, farage is just revelling in the gains he is getting without at any point showing signs of being a prime minister. Im not talking about sticking the everyman in the role, they would have to exceed where the vast majority falter. But Taking into account our prime ministers are hand reared from school upwards to become prime minister tells you that they are simply there to fulfil a role rather than lead a country.

Not sure why it isnt immediately obvious, but here goes:

Iraq, cash for honours, the degrading of top of the civil service and replacement with special advisors, the treatment of Elizabeth Filkin (which led directly to the MPs expenses scandal), his antics since leaving office (especially as the Quartet envoy), the treatment of David Kelly, the failure to implement even the Labour-lite 1997 manifesto despite having a mandate, tuition fees etc etc.

Tony Blair was the worst PM we have had since Chamberlain. In fact, he might even have been worse, given that Chamberlain was up against Hitler and Stalin.
