FA WSL 1 WEDNESDAY 18TH APRIL -7PM KO
EVERTON LADIES 0 CHELSEA LADIES 1

After the heart break in which Everton Ladies lost there semi final on sunday,it was back to WSL1 action tonight for 8th Placed Everton Ladies v the team who they would have faced in the final,Chelsea Ladies,Chelsea Ladies have only lost 5 league games in nearly 3 years and 4 of those defeats have came v man city, the last one comming in May,they as you might expect top the league and are unbeaten so far in there 13 games,8 of them been wins,so it was a tough task to come back to,

Onto the game and it was Chelsea who broke the deadlock on 12mins,when Swedish defender Magdalena Eriksson headed home via the underside of the bar, from a free kick for 1-0 to chelsea,Everton's sweetman-Kirk on 26mins probably had Everton best chance early 1st half, but her shot on the turn was blocked by the chelsea scorer Eriksson,Sono Aluko then forced Everton keeper Levell into a flying save on 39mins,half time came with the score staying at 1-0 chelsea

In the 2nd half on 62mins, chelsea went close twice in a min to going to 2up when Bright at the back post saw her shot hit the side netting, before seconds later Kirby saw an effort fly past the far post,on 67 Sweetman-Kirk again had another shot on the turn after good work down the Everton left, but her shot was way wide,Everton players were crowded out in the box on 74mins when it looked like a deflection was going to fall sweetly for a toffee clean strike,on 87 Everton were so close to been level when Angharad James chipped chelsea keeper Telford from 20 yards but her shot came back of the bar,but the final score was 1-0 to chelsea for the 2nd time this season in the league

Everton Ladies next game is away to Reading Women at 12:30pm sunday, and its live via the Red Button and on BBC Online.

CHELSEA LADIES SCORER - MAGDALENA ERIKSSON

the women played really well on Sunday I thought, but arsenal clearly a better team at the moment. its our first season back in the top flight but there is a strong team there. few changes and I think they could push on. I have been to most of the home games for the Ladies side and have been very unlucky in a lot of games.

Sounds like a really decent effort against a couple top teams. If only the men could put in those kind of efforts! Anyway, hopefully the team can kick on next season and move up the table.

Describe "those kind of efforts!" which are lacking in the men's game. Perhaps they should arrange matches between the men and the ladies so the men can pick up examples and tips and gain from the experience of playing against a better standard.
If they really are better, then could their manager be a candidate for Sam's position?

SUNDAY 29TH APRIL 2PM KO WSL1
LIVERPOOL LADIES 1 EVERTON LADIES 1

It was 5th placed Liverpool playing 8th placed Everton Ladies At Tranmere's ground today, were it was basically Liverpool on top most of the 1st half, with liverpool twice hitting the woodwork late on in the 1st half, with Kelly Heading over Evertons best chance,it was 0-0 at ht

The 2nd half began and within 1 minute of the restart Liverpool had taken the lead through Coombs whos right footed shot went into the bottom corner of the net,it was nearly 2, 5 mins later when weir's shot landed on the roof of the net via deflection,Liverpool had a goal disallowed on the hour mark for a foul, but right out of the blue and after tons of pressure on 66mins EVERTON MADE IT 1-1 with there 1st shot on target after only previously having 2 in the game after Jodie Bretts right footed shot from close range went in,and with 1mins to go Everton should have went ahead when Chloe Kelly missed a great chance free in the area when she somehow shot wide,Liverpool again hit the woodwork in the last minute, but Everton with there only shot on target held on for a 1-1 draw infront a very good crowd of 1,416.

Everton Ladies next game is v bottom of the table Yeovil a week wednesday with a 7pm ko,Yeovil have not even scored this season in 14 league games, and had 12 defeats in a row before there last 2 0-0s,the last goal they scored came on november 1st in a cup game, they also have not won a game in any comp since november 2016 and are on a run of 25 defeats from 28 games

FA WSL 1 SUNDAY 6TH MAY 12.30PM KO
EVERTON LADIES 1 BRISTOL CITY WOMEN 2

In a rearranged game,it was 8th placed Everton Ladies playing home to 9th placed Bristol City Ladies, and it was everton who opened the scoring on 8mins to make it 1-0 when Danielle Turner raced on to a through ball to finish calmly past Baggaley,it was soon 1-1 on 18mins though when young PFA player of the year Lauren Hemp turned turner and shot low past everton keeper Levell, half time came and it was 1-1 in an entertaining 1st half

In the 2nd half, bristol city won it with a 90th minute wonder free kick scored by Julie Biesmans, which moved everton down to 2nd bottom, next game for everton is v the bottom team Yeovil this midweek, yeovil as above have not even scored this season and have not even won any game in any comp since nov 2016

FA WSL 1 WEDNESDAY 9TH MAY 7PM KO
EVERTON LADIES 3 YEOVIL TOWN LADIES 1

After sundays last minute defeat, this became 2nd bottom Everton v bottom placed Yeovil who were yet to score in 14 previous games, there last goal comming november 1st in any comp, and they had 25 defeats from 28 games in all comps with the last win been 6th november 2016,there last 2 games have actually been 0-0,And anyway it was onto tonights game and it was Everton who broke the deadlock on 35mins when Danielle Turner latched onto a hopeful ball down the right, cut inside the left back and curled a shot around the yeovil keeper walsh into the top corner, right on the stroke of half time Everton were awarded a pen and it was left to Sweetman-Kirk to take it,but the shot was saved low down to the keepers left,so 1-0 HALF TIME

The 2nd half began and as you would think, thinking the worst about Everton, they only went and conceeded to Yeovil on 47mins that made the score 1-1,so yeovil scored there 1st goal since 1st November ,and there 1st goal of the season in the league, and even more predictable to someone scoring on there debut lol,the goal scorer was Libby Piggott who stabbed home after the Everton keeper had made a save,on 52mins Yeovil then hit the bar from Piggott,But thankfully On 62 Everton retook the lead to make it 2-1 when Mollie Green in for Chloe kelly who was put as sub tonight Blasted home her shot,on 72mins Everton were awarded there 2nd pen of the night when sub Kelly was brought down, and it was Mollie Green who took the responsibility and she scored bottom corner to get her 2nd of the night to make it 3-1,3-1 was THE FINAL SCORE and it was Evertons 1st league win since Feb, taking 7 games to get it moving them 7th,the highest place for a while though they have played 1 game more than the few below,

The next Everton Ladies game is home to Birmingham Ladies this sunday afternoon
