I genuinely didn't know who the ladies were playing tonight but when I saw this headline I didn't even need to open it to read it...

Another Everton first.

The question remains, where do the ladies go from here next season? I thought they were competitive against everyone really, but the table does not lie. Just couldn't win. Let's hope the club back them in the transfer market and they get that extra class required.

Good first season back in the big league for the experience.

FA WSL 1 SUNDAY 20TH MAY 12.30PM KO
MAN CITY WOMEN 3 EVERTON LADIES 0

It was 8th placed Everton Ladies, with a slim chance of moving up to 7th, away to runners up man city,[man city basically lost there chance of winning the league by losing 2 games in a row in the last 3] in the final game of the season

Everton started the game pretty well and on 11 mins Danielle Turner who was causing man citys back 4 all sorts of problems was brought down after the city defender slowed down and Turner nipped in and was brought down about 25 or so yards out,a yellow was give,a red could have been give but it was not,the free kick came to nothing,on 16 Turner had a through ball played to her with the on comming keeper just about getting there 1st when turner attempted the shot,on 21 Everton keeper Levell made a great save low down to her right when Parris's shot came through a bunch of bodies, but less than a minute later,Another ex everton player Jill Scott took aim from around 20 or more yards and scored a great goal to make it 1-0 man city, not sure even a man keeper might have saved it,sweetman-kirk had a shot from 20 yards on 30mins which was pretty easy for the city keeper,on 32 mins man city should have gone 2-0 up when Jill scott headed wide from an angled cross, seemed harder to miss, scott again on 36 had a headed saved that that went under the keepers body at 1st,on 42 parris had an even better chance of a headed goal when another great cross from the right was headed wide,on 43 Levell again made another very good save from a curler fromEsmlie ,on 44 sweetman had a long range lob that was easy for the city keeper,in injury time everton s Levell made another good save low down but the ball felt to a city player in the midle, which everton scrambled away, after the bright start from Everton, city took control and it stayed 1-0 city at HALF TIME

The 2nd half began and on 56mins -it became a very deserved 2-0 lead via another ex toffee Nikita Parris,it was a cross from the right and a brilliant cushion header from stanway to the back post that left Parris volleying home for a deserved goal for her,it was 3-0 on 59mins when a massive error gifted city the 3rd,keeper Levell played it to our defender who in turn played it back to the keeper, but she under hit the pass back and Jill scott sliding in scored,3-0 was the final score in the 1st season of Everton Ladies been professional and result confiremed man city in the womens champions league

This result left Everton finishing 9th from 10 teams as 2nd bottom sunderland beat bottom placed yeovil,Yeovil who after getting there 1st goal of the season v us few weeks back, took the lead and were leading till they conceeded 2 in 2mins mid 2nd half to lose and remain winless since november 2016 in any comp,At the top Chelsea maintained an unbeaten league season as they came from 2 down after 8mins at liverpool to win 3-2
