SATURDAY 3RD OCTOBER 12.30PM KO
WOMENS SUPER LEAGUE
ASTON VILLA WOMEN 0 EVERTON WOMEN 6

After a monumental Week for the Everton women winning a quarter final v a team very little people if any give them a chance of Winning [Chelsea women], and then winning a semi final just 3 days later v a team they were expected to beat [Birmingham women]. Everton women today had the chance to go top for the day, they only needed to avoid defeat but they were firm favorite's v an Aston Villa women's side promoted last season but have started with 2 WSL defeats and have also had a 3 week break, If Everton could win - this would be the 1st time they had started with 3 WSL Super League Wins while also winning the 1st 5 games of the season since 2011 in all comps and this was also the 1st meeting in the top league between the 2 though Everton won the last game between the 2 in the Championship 3-0 [the league below] in April 2017-Everton had won 4 of just the 6 meetings overall between the 2 with 1 drawn game -This was a debut for Aston Villa Women at there new Banks Stadium, Claire Emslie after been the player to miss out been registered from the 7 new players for the FA Cup started this game in one of 5 Starting changes to the midweek cup team-There was also place's in the starting team for Egurrola, Raso, Pattinson,

Everton began very quickly and were nearly ahead in the 1st 30seconds when Raso had a shot blocked by the keeper after a cross from Graham [chance below], Emslie then had a header wide and a curler from 20 yards over before a shot from Egurrola deflected just went over the bar from around 30 yards, this was just in the 1st 6mins, Gauvin then on 15 from a tight angle had a shot blocked over by Haigh, Raso on 16 then had a chance that just about tipped over by the Villa keeper after a nice ball through from Guavin, But the early dominance was rewarded on 19mins when Claire Emslie in her 1st start Squared the ball along the 6 Yard box with a brilliant pass and Raso tapped home, it became 2-0 on 23mins when another individual error from the Villa keeper Weiss in clearing the ball only as far as Raso and she drills her shot into the far corner of the net, it was 3-0 on 27mins after A lovely flowing move from The Blue Girls saw Raso unselfishly pass to Christiansen who in-turn, layed it off to Emslie. The winger then curled her shot into the far corner of the net for a peach of a goal, it then became unbelievably 4-0 on 40mins when from a brilliant cross from Raso on the right Gauvin headed home diving in which was a instanst replay of her goal v Chelsea last week. Villa no surprise then had a little chance of a goal which came to nothing but the 4-0 as incredible as it was-was the least our Girls deserved, Villa were getting so outplayed that they had a quick heated team meeting after one of our goals

Raso was subbed at half time with what looked like a Hamstring Injury and her replacement Bye-Hlorkah made it 5-0 on 50mins when her cross/shot was sublime and flew over the keeper, it incredibly was 6-0 on 52mins when a lovely through ball from Guavin was neatly finished by Claire Emslie who rounded the keeper and beat the villa defender on the line, The caged animal as she was called by boss Wille Kirk this week was well and truly released and we were having so many chances i was finding it hard to keep up writing this lol, Grace Clinton a young talented midfield player then made her WSL debut, Sub Clemaron then had a shot that was over and wide, Maclver in the Everton goal then made a excellent save from Denmark striker Stine Larsen with her foot, Claire emslie after another free flowing Everton breakaway saw her shot saved by villa keeper weiss at her near post on 87mins, Young talent Clinton then missed the ball yards out after a Boye-Hlorkah cross when surely a connection would have been a goal, But Everton took it a little easier in the 2nd half to round off a breath taking overall performance to win 6-0, keep another clean sheet and go top of the league till tomorrow- Everton have yet to conceed in there 3 league games, the next league game is home to West Ham at walton park on the 11th October but before that they have the tough task of playing away to man city women in the Conti cup, city are unbeaten in 32 home games or have 2 defeats in 3 and a half years

You can't argue with a 6-0 win but the inequalities in this league are its downfall. The gap between a few with money and the rest is too great. Frankly, Villa would not have beaten a team of schoolboys.

Raso Chance

Couple of great strikes in there.....the first from Emslie, and the through ball for her second was fantastic....

First time I watched them yesterday and was surprised, it's a lotlot better than it used to be, lass in the middle played well clinton or something.

Grace Clinton if you mean her, she came on as a sub only for 15mins for her debut and is a Young talented academy prospect that now seems to be part of the Squad, she actually should have scored from a cross but completely missed the ball
