This will be the 50th final of The Women's Cup Final.
The final, contested between Everton and Manchester City, will be played tomorrow, Sunday 1 November 2020 at Wembley.
It is Everton's sixth appearance in the FA Cup final (including as forerunner club Leasowe Pacific) and their first since the final was moved to the national stadium having last appeared in the 2014 edition held at Stadium MK.
They last won the competition in 2010
It's Manchester City's third appearance in the final having lifted the trophy on the two previous occasions in 2017 and 2019

The 1970-71 Womens Football Association Cup was the first incarnation of this Trophy, which at the time was open to teams from both England and Scotland.
Seventy-one teams entered the Cup, which was sponsored by sports equipment company Mitre and was thus named the Mitre Challenge Trophy

The inaugural Cup-winners were the English club Southampton Womens FC, who beat Scotland's Stewarton Thistle in the Final on 9 May 1971 at Crystal Palace Park;
The girls being banned from proper league grounds...bad sexist meffs them FA gammons...boooo.

The KO is at 2.30 and is shown on BBC One / BT Sport 1 / BBC iPlayer / The FA Player.

On a personal note; I remember Dicky Davies reporting on the 70-71 final on final score or whatever they called it...they even showed a 3sec clip of the Southampton girls in the big bath, (nothing of the goals, iirc,) with the cup, it was bosom and bush-tastic.
Anyway we've all moved on from that syd sexist stuff now haven't we?...just win it girls ffs!
