Ever had Bundaberg? My late father-in-law introduced me to it. He used to drink it in Australia when he was stationed there with the Fleet Air Arm during WWII as an aircraft fitter. Always thought it tasted more like brandy to me. My first session was at a Wetherspoons after a meal that included beer and wine. My performance that day led to me being barred.
