I agree with you on that. The Chicago Cubs and Everton are very similar, IMO. Everton with much more of a history of winning than the Cubs, but they are both very well respected in their leagues, fans always turn up no matter how bad the season is going. Etc. Like you said it could be a lot worse, but I think they would bring some stability to the club and a lot more consistency. The finances to compete at the top of the PL? Probably not and I don’t think it’s much of their style to throw cash around like it’s nothing but they know how to run a business, they aren’t billionaires by luck.

It is true… you just don’t hear about the ones who do it very well because the bellends like Jerry Jones and Stan Kroenke and Dan Snyder get all the attention.

Europeans seem to expect the owner of a club to dump cash into it endlessly and never demand any kind of return on their investment. Who else would do that except barbaric nation-states and criminals laundering money?

Well nobody mate, thats why we touched lucky with Moshiri, if only, well you know.

City, Chelsea, Us, Newcastle, as you say "barbaric nation-states and criminals laundering money".

Thats my concern, whoever comes next isnt gonna be propping up their mistakes out their own money, but maybe less mistakes would lead to less propping.

But still think this is all hogwash myself.
