Absolutley disgraceful alright. What a silly captain not to have roundly thrashed you. I'm just glad we didnt play TWO spinners and have 675 runs scored against us in one innings.

Two sides tentative beginnings strangled the life out of the game, and a supposedly inferior aussie bowling lineup showed the england that pace means lots on a changable pitch. As for the draw, it was predictable on friday, though maybe not quite so close in the measure of things. Grin

To be fair, if I was Australian, after all the crowing in the last day, I would be gutted beyond belief to let Monty and Anderson stand tall against us. I mean really.

I hate the Aussie cricket team with a passion but c'mon they're light years ahead of us interms of the way they struture thier game we've been playing catch up to them for 20 odd years and frankly i see no real sign of us gaining much ground.

Compared to the teams of the last 20 years or so this Aussie one is a poor side,but its still the best team in the world whereas in the past they had superstars to blow teams away they now ground them down just as they did to us they even seem to be building on Pietersons apprant off stump weakness,they have a plan stick to it and usually (not always) win or at worst,as happened yesterday get the better of thier opponents.

Yes we did ok to get the draw but lets not forget that terrible bowling got us in that posistion in the first place,it was toothless to say the least and if the showboater hadnt got out to another stupid shot we maywell have had 600 hundred on the board and things could have been different (doubtfull that pitch looked a batters wet dream tbh) but you never know.

The next test will make or break the series if we win..or draw (more likely) then the series is still wide open but if we lose then i just cant see England beating them twice to win back the ashes.
