Of course you play for the draw, they've been doing it since tea on day 1 lads.

Aussie will declare, they have nothing to lose, Warney is close to Clarke and has been saying look out for a surprising declaration. Sadly the "bad light" got in the way for them.

England playing this game at their pace, the score line may suggest otherwise, but in reality they're dictating this game providing they can back it up by surviving how many overs they get in tomorrow.

It's a shame that rain is probably going to ruin it.

If Austrailia declared overnight and had the full 90 overs to go at England we could have got a close result

It's not really though is it? I mean, Aussie have been pulling our pants down the best part of 20 years, I'm absolutely loving how much better our cricket team is.

Of course there's no need for too much gloating and to win with a bit of class (something they have sorely lacked over the years) but I won't be too bothered if it hosed it down all day.

I watch sport for the drama of it, would love it to be a proper climatic last day that England win than a dour rain filled day. If England won it'd be all the more sweet as this is the best the Aussies have played this series, and to still lose would be destroying. Also keeps up the chance of a white wash.

even though the score would have been gettable, no way would cook instruct his men to chase it, hes even more negative than strauss was

True, as good as England are, they aren't half boring to watch sometimes

I'll take the win over entertainment against them lot eleven times out of ten, but I understand what you mean. You'd take a scrappy 1 nil win over the kopites yeah?

I agree with Elong that England have been playing for a draw since just after tea on the first day. This negativity, which I think comes from Flower is what will stop this England side being an all time great side. They tried to take time out of the game with their batting and thats why they didnt get close to the Oz first innings total. I believe if England would have got within 80 runs of Aus they had a great chance to win the test but their run rate meant they were never going to that. Cook must have forgotten what 2006/7 felt like cos as someone who paid a lot of money to be there I would love to have stuffed them 5-0 back.
