It's much easier to bat when you don't have to worry about being bowled or given LBW.
Shame some of the lads here aren't out there to tell test cricketers how to get wickets after bowling all day against tailenders swinging around. Yes, we got a little bit sloppy but it is nowhere near as simple as the cryers who won't give england a single bit of credit for anything would have you believe. Oz have been incredibly lucky to get parity, the 3rd umpire and a lot of slices of luck went their way. England played well today.

England have an uncanny knack to make you furious about a score you’d have taken at the start of the day.
More frustrated than furious. Got to keep in mind England were sent in too, so i would rather be in our position, so hopefully a big day of batting for bazball tomorrow and give them top big a score to chase.
Up to England to bat well now and set them 300+, though as stated Surrey fans say this is a 280 par pitch. I don't think Australia are anywhere near as comfortable as England are chasing, though England will be a man down so it is well poised.

I thought it would feel flat going in but I'm as up for this as any other test strangely. Sure if Oz had won over here in the last 10 years I would be flat but I'm desperate for it to go past 25 years since they've won over here. OK they can point it being 12 years since we won at home when they are next here.
I'm still enjoying it for sure, there is defo that tiny bit of edge missing though, especially as it looked like the aussies were not coping with the England comeback

It's a one innings game and they bat last. However we are a player ( and vitally a spinner ) down. Even steven until you realise that 1 team wants to win and 1 team doesn't want to lose and will play for rain in Monday. Australia should be managed by Davy Moyes.
