The Ashes 2023

What, as in we still have the Ashes? Or we didn’t lose them or retained them or we drew with you but wasn’t good enough for you to win the Ashes back off us that currently have them and besides you won the moral victory?

Absolutely magnanamous in defeat and in Victory eh. Spirit of the game.

And you call us Kopites lol.

You are being a bit of a tit in victory, though, so not really one to call out somebody pointing out a fact that England won 2 out of the last 3 and if it were not for rain had a great chance to win the other one.

I say victory because I would still see that as a victory, the term is retain the ashes but I suppose we can look on it as a team needing only a draw in the 2nd leg of a final, it will still be classed as holding the trophy at the end of the match.

The series was a great series, most of us English are saying this because they see potential in this side and the way we are playing, especially the batting. We 'experimented' this against the test champions and all in all when you look back, it worked. It was a great event with 2 different styles going head to head. Dropped catches and maybe a bit more playing the situation was sorted out in the last 3 tests, by then it was a bit too late but encouraging that this team is learning.

However, you just posting bad winner guff is not helping your look, especially when you try to call out English fans for being bad losers. Being bad losers (to a certain degree) is perfectly reasonable, being a bad winner is a very ugly look.

You never answered my question about Broad, by the way. Take away your views about him as a person, or his dress sense, you surely cannot deny that he is a legend of the game.

Geez Im only messin’. Yes Broad was a fantastic danger man and will be a big loss to your attack. Unplayable with his back up and would have walked into our team on form.

It was a great series and I’d be sour too if we walked away without the urn, but it did take 2 matches for you to get properly into the contest which unfortunately and unluckily the weather put it out of your hands.

Fair enough, sometimes it doesn't come across like that in text form and without knowing the person.

As I said I think that England can still look on this as a positive series but I suppose when all matches are that close and just a couple of held catches or weather is the difference in a 25 day series. then I suppose it can make you a bit more sensitive to banter.
