My guess is I expect Anderson to keep playing as he is so close to 700 and Warne's 708. If you have a target and perhaps now the decision that could have had to have been made (Broad or Anderson) has been cleared, he'll want to get to play the next three test series and by the end of the Sri Lanka one be second on the all time list.

….I imagine plenty of tributes today for Broad with guards of honour etc. it’ll be emotional for him and maybe for the likes of his mate Anderson too but every plaudit he gets will be so deserved. Hopefully the emotion gets England over the line, it should be a good day in front of the telly.

He still managed one in this last knock. Playing the way England do now it'll always be a risk driving even at the good delivery. He just appears to get more inside edges than the others.

He seemed pretty stoic about it himself and I don't doubt his intentions are for the team. That being said, I'm not a huge fan of planned retirements with fanfare.
