Also has Root who bowls very tidyly of late. Would have taken Wood too, but there are a few lefties in the Aussie team and Broad loves them and has also been in good touch.

Yeah he's one of the those line and length bowlers who causes problems without being express pace. Bit like philander when he tormented us for a series or two.

Like Peter Siddle, he’s one of those innocuous looking bowlers who then suddenly walk off with 5 for 20 or something.

Yes it's definitely a concern and a big risk.

Also fear that Australia will be going into this game more 'ready' than us following their more competitive game against India compared to ours a week earlier against Ireland.

Looking at injury records Wood is more likely to break down than any of the 3 pace bowlers. Stokes is a worry but he has to play of course.

I would have selected Wood but not for reasons of fitness reliability, the bowling attack minus Stokes all have very good records in that regards

Forget Warner, he's done his dash, he won't put in 2 decent innings the whole series. I've been following him back in Aussie. Except for the odd time on a special occasion when he really gets Up for it...like his 100th test, he can't get going.
