The bomb shelter thread.

The Potter rumours are increasing. Ladies and gentlemen, I think it may be time for us to consider defending ourselves from the onslaught that will occur.

I'm actually genuinely warming to the prospect of Potter. I decided to read a bit more about him. This is most exciting:

"The side also experienced success in the BUCS (British Universities and College Sports) competitions, and the young coach was not afraid to do the unexpected or spring a surprise, as Hall witnessed at close quarters.

“What marked Graham out was how quickly he grasped that we would have to play differently,” recalls Hall.

“When we stepped up into the senior leagues we had students playing against experienced men, so going toe-to-toe with them was not an option.

“One game that stands out was against a side who were top of the league and we fielded a side with no central strikers. We had two wide players and our midfield.

“You just looked across at their coaching staff and players and they could not figure it out, they could not adjust to it. They never got to grips with it. It was a risk, but Graham was prepared to take it and it worked. The players loved him.

This is super. A coach with no fixed style of play or tactical approach, who tries things. This will go down VERY well with our Floppy Father contingent.

He can get used to no strikers or wide men when he gets the gig here. But the British Universities and College Sports (BUCS) league will give him that hardened edge not many premier league managers have.
