The Dead Thread

You know that Mickey Briggs, well the actor, is a world renowned Shakesperian actor? Why he wouldnt do any more cos he didnt want to be a "Star" name in the theatre. Also why there are blocks of episodes with him not in them. Was off doing Hamlet or something in Merica or somewhere.

Never realised that, they all seem to have done reasonably well for themselves and pop up in various things.

Len, Napoleon Solo, gazdalf, and now Victor Bailey.

I just heard that wizard-level bassist Victor Bailey just passed at 56. Far, far too young.

Not a good week for this sort of thing. Too much news.

Life has been tough on those marvelous former WR bassists. RIP, Victor.

I remember you well in the Chelsea Hotel
You were famous your heart was a legend.
You told me again you preferred handsome men
but for me you would make an exception.

My favourite lyrics of all time , Leonard Cohen was a genius someone you could listen to when you were down and as bad you may feel his misery made you thing things werent so bad.

Just home and hearing about Robert Vaughan,a bit sad another bit of my childhood gone,I used to love the man from U.N.C.L.E.,thought him and David Macallum were brilliant hamming it up R.I.P.Mr Vaughan also enjoyed his cameo in Corrie.
