....never knew that he grew up in Kensington, Liverpool. I went to Rathbone infant/junior school in Albany Rd, good chance he did.

I remember being so disappointed with Chariots of Fire as a six year old. I'd watched Clash of the Titans four times at the Cinema a couple of months earlier and pestered my parents for days to let me see the sequel, I was so excited. Chariots of Fire is a terrible film, no monsters, no flying horses, no Krakens, no comedy metal owls, nothing, just lots of posh blokes stood around talking and a bit of running. Rubbish.

That clears up my confusion. Was sure I saw in the local press down here that a Graveney had died the other week, and thought that this has taken time to hit the nationals. Didnt know about his brother, but I did know his son, all be it briefly.
Didn't know about his brother dying. Tom was the oldest surviving scorer of 100 100s.

David Graveney, himself a Gloucs stalwart for many years, was son on Ken and nephew of Tom. Ken was actually living in Texas when he died.
