Genuinely hit me for 6 the news about Paul. Always on my TV whilst growing up. Big fan of his work. Gutted.
Went to my Secondary school though he left as I started, I did witness a little bit of history.
When we paid our preliminary. visit to the school they put on a play 'Tbhe Importance of being Ernest ' which he referenced in his autobiography as being his first ever stage appearance and credited a fantastic teacher Dora Doughty for seeing something in him which turned him from a scally to a love of performing.
He appears from all the tributes to have been a really genuine fella.
RIP Paul O'Grady.

Lol thanks, it did amuse the Consultant when I told him not to operate before next Friday as I bought tickets for Rotherham v West Brom game and not loosing my ticket money lol
You fight your illness with this attitude Sue and you won't go wrong
Enjoy the game and I'm sending you love and wishing you all the best.
Keep posting x

Naturally funny man, I've read his books about growing up, so funny yet sad in parts. Used to love his travel documentaries he did years ago, often ended up bladdered and kicking off on his producer, hilarious.
RIP Paul.O'Grady.
