Wayne Kramer, guitarist with and founder of The MC5. A pioneering band and a huge influence on a lot of music I love.

Very sad to hear this.
Wayne Kramer was an excellent guitarist.
MC5 were & are simply monumental. Never forget when I first heard the album Back in the USA.
Miraculously, Wayne's partner in crime, Iggy, still chugs along

I was named after Barry John. Though he had retired before I was born the stories and the legend were drummed into me as a child. RIP The King.

He was a great player in his day.

I think Max Boyce even had a song about him called IIRC ‘The Oustide Half Factory’.

My eldest lad just texted me the news, he’s only 17, but we used to watch Dads Army together when he was about 8 or 9, he absolutely loved the programme.
