Player Valuation: £70m
I think we are witnessing the beginning of the demise of Manchester United.

These are the facts.

1. Rooney the only real superstar at the club.
2. Too many ageing players
3. No real young talent coming through, not compared to the Scholes, Beckham, Neville era
4. Manager is ageing
5. Owners have just piled more debt on the club
6. City, Arsenal, Chelsea just have too much talent and financial muscle

United cira 2003/2004.

As ever, they'll rise again.

The fact they're still in the title race despite how they've played this season is a testament to their ******* invicibility. They can't do much wrong even when they're gash.

They will prob make some signings to be fair as their trying to flog some bonda. But i know what your saying - possibly Ferguson is the key though! If things start getting bad at Utd we will see Ferguson leave - hes the key really!

They are a very limited side these days, and so one dimensional. I honestly think Rooney will leave in the summer. He gets no service whatsoever, and has to create things for himself.
Like you said, they have virtually no young players coming through either.

They will be back though. It is just a matter of time until they are bought by a rich Arab.

There up there without a back four, i honestly wouldnt rule them out - if you look over the years Ferguson has built teams without signing world class players for mega bucks - ala Madrid, Chelsea or City.

I think Valencia is going to be a trually devastating player, Bera has quality, Rooney is a bit of a machine. I think their midfeild lacksbalance if they sorted that out - their is a title in that team.

Apart from Rooney, they dont have that special player in midfield, like when they had Ronaldo. They really could do with a top class centre midfield, cause a central midfield of Fletcher and Carrick aint gonna do it.

I do like Valencia though. Good player.

We can empathise with their lack of settled back 4 due to injuries to key players during the season (Jags, Nev, Hibbert, Distin, Yobo etc...) they'll rise again

You know what....

Who Cares....

Then why post blert?

This is World Football!!!

I was actually leading on to the changing face of football, lets be honest if United don't sign anybody with any impact, there is a fairly good chance that Man U and Liverpool could fall outside of the top 4. As soon as clubs stop giving them the respect then Villa, Spurs and Man City are just as capable as getting top 4, along with Chelsea and Arsenal.

Worth pondering I think.

Not saying that your not going to go the games. Real fans went there when Beardsmore and Blackmore were the great white hopes.

Saying that United are running out of track, quickly. Rooney has won all he can really at Man U, Madrid or Barca come knocking and he'll be off.
