The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I just think Arisen is a bloody ace name.
If you are bored of Skyrim, get Oblivion if you never played it.

It seems completely different.

I never got that into Oblivion to be honest, and the combat was even worse then, so I'll leave it I reckon.

I just want a new Fallout.

FO3 introduced me to Bethesda's games, i haven't looked back since. I'm hoping it's set somewhere with citylife like FO3 but with wilderness surrounding it with canibals and ****.

I'm more of a fan of the Elder Scrolls than the Fallout, thought both are ace.

Oblivion has somethings I just wish were in Skyrim, like the Daedric realms through the gates. Visually and gameplay wise, Skyrim beats it ten fold like.

the immersiveness and story, agree combat was sh1te, especially hand to hand

For story have you played The Witcher/The Witcher 2? I played the second on the Xbox recently and the story blew me away. I've since picked up the first on Steam and the story and thematic elements are just as good. The combat in The Witcher 2 especially is pretty good too, when you get the hang of it. Although for boss combat I'd recommend Dragon's Dogma. The story in that is quite weak though -- at least until you get to the very end, when it reveals itself to be quite interesting. But combat and gameplay-wise it's an RPG highlight of mine.

I'm not sure demos will do them justice to be honest mate. It takes a while to get into both of them.

Although that said if you get the DD one and load up the second bit (the griffin fight) you'll get a good idea of what is awesome about the game. The first bit of the demo is basically the tutorial and it's gash.

i'll convince my mate to buy one of them then borrow it, this tactic has served me very well!

Just had an amazing few hours on DayZ.

Me and a mate are busy raiding a supermarket, then we hear gunshots outside. Bricks were indeed shat.

A body was found (still bleeding so clearly just killed) , we nicked all his stuff and ran away into the woods giggling like schoolkids.

Awesome mod. Check this map to get some idea how big the area is (mousewheel zooms). The cities on the south coast (Cherno and Elektro) are big in themselves...

Oh ffs I think I may have to sell my shoes to buy Arma.

Oops, wrong thread.

Been watching a lot of stuff to do with DayZ, the only problem is that it is on Arma2, the buggiest game engine ever.

Yeah it is a bit buggy, but they are being ironed out pretty swiftly and other than zombies glitching through doors occassionally, it doesn't affect the game play too much. And it is still an alpha mod.

SELL THE SHOES! SELL THEM!
