The Esk and El Bobble

I enjoy Esks podcast (and due credit to Andy and George also).

Don't see the agenda here. He is clearly a committed Evertonian wanting the best for the club.

He has been prescient with his analysis of the current situation. The podcast helps me understand the state the club is in.

He doesn't have to bother, like many others, and is on a hiding to nothing. He is entitled to anonymity, I don't see what changing that would achieve.

Dont follow or kno anything of the esk but follow the bobble and the rest of the lads who do the bullens seem to have good info.

I'm late to the party - who are these self-styled social media EFC influencers?

I try and stay off Everton Twitter, but it seems as though El Bobble has got a network of media, agent and player contacts that provide him with information on transfers/agent relations, whereas The Esk character seems to be from a city background with a network that comprises of finance and corporate contacts, with a couple of media thrown in.

Good luck to both of them, but what I don't understand is this - why the anonymity?! It's a really odd look, especially for The Esk character. His podcasts are hit and miss - although I thought the recent takeover one was excellent - but there is a fundamental contradiction here...how do you expect to be taken seriously if you hide behind a pseudonym like a sixth-form student?!

Often his podcasts demand transparency from the club, and yet all we know about him is his first name and lots of tenuous, ambiguous references to a) what he has achieved, and b) what he knows e.g. 'I've crossed paths with John L Thornton a couple of times...' It's all a little bit attention seeking for me to take seriously.

Surely he would realise that in order to influence real change he needs to come from a much stronger position of credibility?! At the moment it smacks of a 60-year-old with the social media habits of a 16-year-old. Not to mention the constant calls for professionalism while simultaneously producing a podcast with horrendous production values.

It's just a shame as it seems like he cares about the club - and has a lot of the right ideas - but not quite brave enough to put his head above the parapet.

The esk isn't anonymous though

I follow the Esk. Quite like some of his thoughts but by God, he can find a negative in anything the club does. Latest one being the main sponsors, got right on his high horse about that

Why the hell would they go public with private/identifying information about themselves?? There were no small amount of people angry at Esk over the Mata/Witsel thing, imagine if they had his name and could figure out his family/workplace details? People make personal threats over anything that makes them angry, even more so on social media.
They're fine as they are to be honest.

The Esk seems intent to stir up trouble from across the pond as part of some agenda or personal grudge to me. Not sure who he thinks he is demanding a meeting with Moshiri like he did a few months ago.

Seemed to get a lot of clout from making a show out of himself with the whole Witzel debacle a few years ago which I find strange. Anybody else wouldn't get taken seriously after that.

He has property there, no idea where he is as a domiciled. Last time we spoke, is wasnt from abroad. I think anyrate.
As far as I'm aware he lives and works in that Lahndon! Podcasts are great and Esk is excellent on business information IMHO.
