Just that your rhetoric veers towards a religious conflict. You've mentioned Islamic conquest in a confrontational manner and your adherence to the Christian narrative, where, other than the official party line on the origins, you seem unaware of the alternative histories of their times.

Christianity is a doctrine and I am aware in some quarters of that faith they see something akin to the EU as part of the book of revelations and end time scenarios.

As I said, just curious.

Yea Catholics don't believe in all that end time mumbo jumbo. There are churches in the US I think think that about the EU but not sure.

As for official doctrine. The woman quoted below the article was Elaine Pagels who is a famous Ghostic and early Christian author and as far from official doctrine as you can get. You just simply aren't making any sense going down this argument.

Christianity spread as I described. Will Islam do the same in Europe. Who really knows but the similarities are striking.

Mate you gotta protect your own Country. People can migrate to your country and it adds flavours and cultures you never might be exposed to. There has to be a balance. You can't just fling open the door to any old weirdos and expect there not to be upset amongst the people.

In short, embrace Europe, but screen them scruffs out. Superb Scandinavian women. Tick. Eastern European Gang Members. Denied.

What if it works the other way though, what happens if Joe Public is denied admittance or restrictions to certain other European Countries. Say when English fans tore up Landsdowne Road, what would happen if getting a visa to Ireland was restricted, no more long weekends in Dublin etc, using Ireland as an example here, but the point is broader.

You can go to the US for a few months at a time without a VISA. I think taking a trip over to Dub to watch the footie won't be an issue.

Trouble it seems that its not just the Dutch who want out. A Vote Leave for the UK could spark a wider break down of the European Union.
