It's interesting how much the poorer rural areas of the uk (Scotland, cornwall, county durham) rely on eu funding when the uk on the whole gives more to the eu than it gets.

It doesn't really speak well of the union if the distribution of wealth from the south east of england to the rest of the country is more efficient when done by brussels than by london.
