Beardwood added: “Forbes are calculating the final figures by using a club’s enterprise value which is your equity minus debt.

“An issue that Everton have in this respect is that they’re in negative equity as they have more debt than their assets are worth.

“When taking all of this into account Everton would be worth around $206million and given that Forbes are using an exchange rate of $1 to 62 pence then that makes Everton Football Club worth around £127million - which for me feels about right.”

haha i know you didn't mean this to sound as crass as it does, but it made me chuckle. i'm also interested in the point you raise though. would never wish ill on kenwright as he does seem a decent man and would never wish ill on any evertonians. dependant on his will i guess?

but this club needs a massive shake-up, we're run like a championship club. when you look at the advertising we do, the lateness of kits being brought out - the fact the more popular sizes always seem to be out of stock. i could go on about the basics, not even touching on stadium planning; things like this are surely common issues addressed in 1st year of relevant degrees. it really shouldn't happen at a top premier league football club.

when i go to sports direct and i see merchandise of clubs like west ham and cletic, but nothing everton in sight it makes me shake my head.
